Freshworks lays off staff across teams

The Nasdaq-listed firm’s marketing team has been hit particularly hard.

Software-as-a-service firm Freshworks has started the process of layoffs across teams. On Thursday, several employees were called into their offices by their reporting managers and informed that they were fired, a person aware of the matter told The Morning Context, asking not to be named. The number of people being laid off is unclear. No official email has gone out to the employees informing them of the layoffs, but one is expected to land tonight.
