Why the Ranveer Allahbadia witch hunt is bad for freedom of expression

The YouTuber is in the crosshairs of all branches of the government for his poor joke. The actual joke could be on the notion of free speech in the country.

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia got the short end of the stick after a joke he made on a YouTube show went viral and caused widespread offence. Multiple FIRs have been filed against him and others linked to the show. The supreme court has weighed in and the IT Ministry is considering legal changes to start censoring internet platforms.
