Ultraviolette aims to become India’s first superbike success story

The EV startup is low on sales right now but its production-ready F99 may be just what will capture the attention of biking enthusiasts in the country.

Companies making electric vehicles in India are no strangers to taking big swings. As a consequence, a lot of eyes are on the country’s EV players.  

Ultraviolette, a Benguluru-based EV startup founded in 2016, is one such company. It has unveiled a production-ready prototype of what it claims will be “India’s First Superbike”. The F99, from Ultraviolette’s factory racing platform, was unveiled at the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori, or EICMA, a flagship motorcycle exhibition in Milan.
