COP28 climate conference needs to build credibility

This is it. These are the most consequential climate talks that have ever been held. But you’ve heard that before, haven’t you? Last year, perhaps even the year before that too.

Each year, politicians, financiers, diplomats, climate activists, business executives and journalists convene to discuss the future of our planet. The Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, commonly called COP, is the biggest forum to talk about policies that can help curb rising global temperatures and environmental destruction.
