The UAE’s universities are finally making serious inroads into quality global education. In the latest World University Rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a reputed British higher-education analytics company, seven of the UAE’s 12 ranked universities improved their positions, some of them by more than 100 places. It seems that the country’s long-term investments in higher education are starting to show results.
Khalifa University of Science and Technology led the charge, jumping 25 spots to rank 177th globally, making it the first Emirati university to break into the QS top 200.
