The holy trinity you need to deal with your child’s special needs

Special needs is a broad term covering many conditions, but the common thread bringing them together is the triangle of support, which is crucial for adaptability and integration.

“Special needs” is a broad term that covers medical conditions, behavioural issues, developmental issues, learning issues and mental health issues in children. I have written about some of these conditions in earlier editions of First Steps.

By now, we know that the symptoms, implications and responses are distinct for each condition. We also know there is a common thread bringing them together: accommodation.
