Adani Total Gas to commission India’s biggest hydrogen blending system

Adani Total Gas, the Adani Group's joint venture with French energy giant Total Energies is commissioning India’s biggest piped natural gas hydrogen blending project.

The move is being termed a huge push for renewable energy as companies look for novel ways to reduce their carbon footprint. The specific advantage with hydrogen blending is the reduction in overall greenhouse gas emissions with incremental changes to already existing natural gas pipelines instead of a complete overhaul.

Through the project, the company aims to provide uninterrupted hydrogen-blended natural gas supply to 4,000 domestic and commercial consumers in Shantigram, Ahmedabad.
