Trent continues to pull ahead of Aditya Birla Fashion

The Tata group-owned retailer’s focus on fast-fashion vertical Zudio seems to have helped, while the Aditya Birla Group’s retail unit has entered several categories.

Trent, the Tata group-owned apparel retailer, reported an over 50% year-on-year jump in its total sales at Rs 2,680 crore for the quarter ended 30 June, outperforming rival Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail—the largest branded apparel maker reported a 12% rise. The sales growth comes amid high inflation, which continues to squeeze customers’ pockets.
