Dental startup Toothsi is failing its customers

Inadequately trained staff pretending to be dentists and poor after-sales services have plagued the five-year-old health-tech startup.

“I went for my appointment and the customer untied his two dogs,” recalls a former employee of the dental tech startup Toothsi. “You are an employee at Toothsi and I will break your bones if I don’t get my refund right now.”

The issue was eventually resolved once the employee reported it to the company. 

In another instance, a Toothsi Pro (a term used for some specialists at Toothsi) was tied up and another one was beaten up by the customers, according to two other former employees. In both cases, the customers withheld medical equipment worth Rs 25-30 lakh that …
