Google ups its generative AI game

If its recent cloud computing conference is anything to go by, the search giant is all set to outpace rivals in becoming the go-to platform for generative AI-focused enterprises.

At the recent Google Cloud Next 2023 conference in San Francisco—the first in-person flagship event of the company since 2019—Google Cloud executives made a series of AI-centric announcements. From a new networking platform to more than a dozen AI offerings, Google demonstrated its sharp focus on AI, and, more specifically, generative AI and a concerted strategy to become the go-to platform for AI-centric enterprises.
