Editor's note: upGrad, the Mumbai-based education technology startup that focuses on higher education, skilling and recruitment, is in talks to acquire Delhi-based online learning platform Harappa Learning, which teaches courses in workplace skills. “Talks have been on for a while and things are moving fast,” says one person in the know, requesting anonymity. “It seems like upGrad's board has cleared the deal and due diligence has already been done. A deal is likely to be announced very soon.” Financial details of the deal weren't available, but it is likely that this deal, as and when it happens, will be a share swap transaction as were other recent upGrad acquisitions. When the Ronnie Screwvala-backed startup acquired Talentedge earlier this month, for example, the Sekhsaria family office got a stake in the company at a valuation of $2 billion, a great way to keep founders interested and improve valuation without raising additional funds. upGrad CEO Mayank Kumar and Harappa CEO Shreyasi Singh did not respond to requests for comment.  upGrad has been on an acquisition spree for a while and looking for companies in …
