A big, upcoming listing in Saudi Arabia has been shelved. This week, Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi Contracting Company, or MGC, decided not to proceed with its planned IPO, which could have raised up to $800 million.
The listing was expected to be one of the largest in the Gulf region this year; it was also meant to serve as a litmus test for markets and for those assessing investor sentiment across the region.
