Overtaking Bhavish Aggarwal’s Ola Electric will require more than just a quality product and will really test TVS’s conservative DNA.

In July, BMW Motorrad unveiled the CE 02 electric motorcycle. The two-wheeler, touted as an urban commute solution for a global audience, is a product of the collaboration that the premium German motorcycle maker has with TVS Motor Co. Besides helping design and engineer the motorcycle, the Chennai-headquartered firm will be its sole manufacturer.

Now that’s an impressive achievement for an Indian company. Yet, the news made little by way of a splash.
