Four entities linked to Jane Street had made gains of Rs 4,843 crore through illegal manipulation of securities, says the market regulator.

The Indian markets regulator has passed an interim order restraining four Jane Street Group entities from “accessing the securities market” and prohibited them “from buying, selling or otherwise dealing in securities, directly or indirectly”. The entities named by the Securities and Exchange Board of India in its interim order are JSI Investments Private Ltd, JSI2 Investments Private Ltd, Jane Street Singapore Pte Ltd, and Jane Street Asia Trading Ltd.
