Manish Maheshwari’s new job at Twitter, Reliance’s e-commerce troubles

Last weekend, Twitter made another addition to its series of little-understood decisions featuring India. In a couple of tweets, Twitter executives announced that its India managing director Manish Maheshwari will be moving to San Francisco in a new role—senior director of revenue strategy and operations for new markets entry.

Maheshwari has been leading Twitter’s India operations for more than two years now. And his move to the US seems like a precursor to restructuring the India team in a way that there is no one head any more.
