Meta announces new WhatsApp features for businesses; the renewed net neutrality debate

The tech giant is looking to strengthen its e-commerce push in India by introducing several business-focused features on WhatsApp + India’s telecom majors are fighting to bring online service under a regulatory framework, and they are losing.

At a splashy event in Mumbai this week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced some big, upcoming features around business messaging on WhatsApp. One is what the tech giant calls Flows, a feature that will enable businesses to offer (and users to access) different services from within the WhatsApp chat.
