Bangladesh’s ShopUp and Saudi Arabia’s Sary are joining forces to create SILQ Group, a business-to-business giant targeting the Gulf and emerging Asia. With this merger, SILQ becomes the largest B2B commerce platform in the region, according to a press statement.

Both ShopUp and Sary are B2B platforms designed to aid small, mom-and-pop retailers by connecting them to suppliers, lenders and service providers in Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, respectively. To date, the platforms have served 600,000 retailers, restaurants, cafés and wholesalers, generating over $5 billion in transactions.
