Women are being sidelined at Microsoft India, say insiders

A spate of exits of women employees, including some from the leadership team, possibly signals gender bias at the tech giant’s India arm.

In September last year, a group of senior women executives at Microsoft India sought a meeting with the company’s president, Puneet Chandok, and human resources head, Arun Kakatkar. The matter was far from routine. They were worried about the treatment of women executives under the current leadership of the tech giant’s India arm.
