With fresh Rs 8,000 crore incentive scheme, India hopes to attract EV battery makers

Successful bidders will have to set up advanced chemistry battery plants with an output of 20 gigawatt-hours. In turn, the government will offer them incentives under the PLI scheme for a period of 5 years.
