Editor's note: Suhail Sameer is stepping down as BharatPe’s CEO, the payments startup announced on Tuesday. Chief financial officer Nalin Negi will take over as interim CEO as the firm looks for a successor to Sameer, who will serve as a strategic advisor to the company. Before he joined BharatPe in August last year, Negi served as CFO of SBI Cards and Payments Services Ltd for more than a decade. As the finance head of an SBI subsidiary, he had a longstanding relationship with BharatPe chairman Rajnish Kumar.
