Paytm Money CEO Varun Sridhar to step down

According to reports, Sridhar, who has been with Paytm Money since 2020, is not exiting the group but will instead transition to a different role

Paytm Money’s CEO Varun Sridhar is stepping down from his role at the wealth management platform and will be replaced by Rakesh Singh, who joined the company last month. He was the former CEO of PayU-backed wealth management firm Fisdom. In February, Paytm Money had made another key appointment—it brought in Vipul Mewada as CFO.

The development, reported by The Economic Times on Thursday, comes amid a major shakeup at One97 Communications’s payments division, Paytm Payments Bank.
