The layoffs have affected writers based in the US who had been working with the six-year-old audio entertainment platform.
On Tuesday, audio entertainment platform Pocket FM let go of close to 260 of its writers based in the US, according to two people in the know, who requested anonymity.
"We have recently had to part ways with some of our writers for US-based audio series to align our resources with our current show pipeline," said the company’s spokesperson.
