Detailed stories on technology startups, business and economic current affairs.
With Fullerton acquiring a controlling stake last year, the fintech startup has seen an overhaul of the current leadership, trimmed loan disbursements and a halt in product rollouts.

Lendingkart is undergoing a major leadership shake-up. In October last year, Temasek-owned Fullerton Financial Holdings—its largest investor—acquired a controlling stake in the digital lending platform for micro, small and medium enterprises. The idea was to keep a close eye on the cash-strapped fintech. Amid the transition, starting well before the October takeover, there has been an exodus of Lendingkart’s C-suite.
Those who have left include:
A local fintech deal to consolidate operations, feedback on Saudi Arabia’s proposed IPO rules, and Ras Al Khaimah’s casino economy.
The newly announced levy on UPI payments undermines the very foundation of using digital payments for stock market investing. Brokers are in a tizzy.
The Rs 250 SIP was launched last year by the former SEBI chairperson with one clear goal: financial inclusion. More than a year later, the much-hyped scheme doesn’t seem to have caught on with MF investors.
