Editor's note: On Sunday, 15 May, sometime between 10.30 pm and 11 pm, a Yulu battery-swapping station at the Baiyyappanahalli metro station in Bengaluru caught fire. Two battery packs were completely damaged in the fire, which lasted for about 10-15 seconds, according to a video of the fire sourced by The Morning Context. No other damage or injury was reported. As a result, operations at the swapping station, one of the 60-odd Yulu operates in Bengaluru and the only one at a metro station, have been put on hold pending investigation.
