CityMall undertakes another round of layoffs to cut costs

This is the third time the social commerce startup has fired employees this year.

Social commerce startup CityMall laid off around 60 employees on Monday, according to two former employees, who spoke on condition of anonymity. 

In its communication to its employees, the Gurugram-headquartered company said that it is letting go of people across departments due to cost constraints, say the two former employees cited above. This is the third time the company has fired a large number of employees this year, according to the first and a third former employee. In June last year, it laid off 191 employees.
