Amazon to begin trials for 15-minute grocery delivery in India

The e-commerce giant is entering the fray to compete with Swiggy’s Instamart, Zomato’s Blinkit and others.

E-commerce giant Amazon on Tuesday said it is looking to enter India’s growing quick-commerce sector by piloting a 15-minute delivery service in Bengaluru later this month, The Economic Times reported.

“While we focus on implementing our strategy to offer the largest selection at fastest speeds and greatest value to customers in every single pin-code across the country, we are excited to start a pilot to give our customers a choice to get their everyday essentials in 15 min or less,” said Samir Kumar, country manager for India at Amazon, according to TechCrunch.
